While no historian, I hope to capture a sense of the forces that touch our lives and link us together. In some of these events including the BMF scandal, I played a role, and in others, I bore witness. Some had put me, as well as my family and my firm, through trying times. At such times, I had to ask myself, “What is the right thing to do?” This is the thread which runs through this book – doing the right thing not just for myself but for my family, my firm, my colleagues and my country.
